Quote from James A.Hart on June 28, 2025, 12:36 pmIf you’re not sure where to find the ASINs of your top competitors, start here — the three best data sources inside your own account:
1. Search Term Report (from Auto Campaigns)
Check your auto campaign’s Search Term Report to see ASINs you’ve already converted from.
If you’re not seeing ASINs listed:
→ Go into your ad group
→ Click the Targeting tab
→ Make sure your “Substitutes” bid isn’t too low — that’s often the reason no ASIN data appears.2. Market Basket Analysis
Inside Seller Central’s Brand Analytics, this report shows which ASINs are frequently bought together with yours.
These are great complementary or adjacent competitors to target.3. Item Comparison & Alternate Purchase Behavior
Also in Brand Analytics, these reports show which ASINs:
- Were viewed alongside yours
- Were purchased instead of yours
These are your direct competitors — and your clearest targets.
With these three tools, you’ll uncover dozens (if not hundreds) of high-quality ASINs to target directly.
Don’t guess. Use the data.
