When contacting suppliers—especially on platforms like Alibaba—sending a clear, professional message can save time and help you get more accurate quotes. Here’s a simple structure you can follow to get the information you need and make a strong first impression:

Supplier Email Template

  1. Introduce Yourself
    Briefly explain who you are and what kind of business you run (e.g., e-commerce seller, online retailer, brand owner).
  2. State What You’re Looking For
    Describe the product you’re interested in. If it already exists on Amazon, include a link to a similar or identical product so there’s no confusion.
  3. Mention Sales Channel & Order Quantity
    Let them know where you plan to sell (e.g., Amazon US) and provide an estimated order quantity—starting with a sample and a small trial order (e.g., 500 units).
  4. List Your Product Specifications
    Be detailed. Include required dimensions, materials, colors, packaging preferences, labeling needs, and anything else important to your brand.
