If You're Just Now Hearing About Topical Authority — This Will Change How You Think About SEO

The concept of topical authority is a game-changer.

Let’s say you want to become an authority on cars.
You write a few articles — maybe one about radar detectors, another about car batteries.

And you wonder:

“Why isn’t Google rewarding me with traffic?”

Because here’s the deal:

Google doesn’t reward dabblers. It rewards domain experts.

If you cover just a handful of subtopics, you’re not an authority.

But when you go all in —
writing about buying cars, selling cars, car maintenance, car insurance, car modifications —
you’re building something Google can trust.
