How to Stop Micromanaging and Start Building a Real Business

Trust me—at the highest levels, your time should be spent on just three things:
Innovation. Hiring. Management.
That’s it.

So how do you get there?

It starts with delegating responsibilities, not just tasks.

Here’s the difference:
task sounds like this:

“Open the spreadsheet, highlight any column with a value lower than X,
and delete any row where column Y exceeds Z.”

When you give instructions like that, what you’re really telling someone is:

“I don’t trust your brain. Just follow orders.”

They might not say it, but deep down, they’re thinking:

“My boss thinks I sniff glue in my garage.”

Now compare that to giving a responsibility:

“Every Monday, I need a list of 500 outreach targets that match our criteria.
I don’t care how you get them—just make sure they’re good. This is your process now.”

Totally different energy.
Now they feel trusted, empowered, and motivated to own it.

Want to really level up as a leader? Read Who: The A Method for Hiring.”
It’s the best hiring book I’ve ever read, period.
Once you implement it, your business won’t just feel different—it’ll be unrecognizable (in a good way).
